Need info on how to obtain pt workI' m new to this site and this is my first post. I' m a stay at home mom with my CPA license. My background is in finance and audit, however I' ve taken a few years off of work to spend time with the kids. I would like to find some work that I could do at night from approx. 8:00pm - 11:00 pm out of the house such as medical transcripts. Does anyone have any advice on what jobs are available to those who would like to work at home and also, how do I search for and obtain these positions? Someone recommended medical transcripts/billing, but I' m open to anything. I would like to stay somewhat in my line of work if possible since I will eventually get back into either tax or audit full time once my youngest is in school. I need the extra cash to afford all the activities my kids are now getting involved in. I' m located in Central Massachusetts. Thanks! Try contacting H&R Block and asking about becoming a contract tax preparer. Perhaps put an ad in your local paper advertising that you will be available for preliminary tax preparation for the mom and pop business or college students. The "get rich quick" or "make extra cash" advertisments that I have seen floating around and that sometimes get through my spam blocker in my email are scams and should be ignored at all costs. Usually you will have to pay an enormous amount to get a list of people you will need to contact so that you can network into a business that asks you to sign up for consideration of jobs that you will have to pay a couple of hundred dollars to secure. And then the chances of you getting your original initial investment back is nothing to nil. | |
