Help ASAPAnyone help me. I don't know how to do this. If I'm applying for a job online through a specific company's website, do I need to list all the previous employment if it isn't relevant to the position I'm applying for? I just don't think I'd want to, but wonder if I have to cause they might look at that and say none of those others arent relevant and move on when the first one I was employed at qualifies me to apply. Help me ASAP. It depends on how the question is worded. If they ask for all jobs, all jobs last 5 years, last 5 jobs, then you need to answer that. In most cases you can also attach a resume. The resume should showcase your jobs that are relevant and your cover letter can explain that while you' ve had these other jobs, your resume shows how qualified you are... Well, let' s see. It says: EMPLOYMENT HISTORY So, this means since all the recent jobs I' ve worked at isn' t relevant and is already in my resume under "Other Work Experience", I can just list the one that is relevant right? Also, I have been doing volunteer work for this place even while I was working for the others. They want you to list at least one employer and they want your most recent employer. If they had asked for previous jobs starting with your most relevant, that would have been different.. However, they specify "at least" which I would take to mean that there is room for more than one employer. Yep. More than one only means two and those two recent are irrelevant. Could I possibly skip the recent and go to the relevance? Should I just put down the only one of the recent since they' re also on my resume? I don' t know. I think I' m in a lose-lose situation. You know what? List them both with your most recent first and the relevant job second. It doesn' t sound as if the employment history of the company' s on-line application really counts. It sounds like the company may only want to find out who can follow directions before they go any further. If this is the case, put down your most recent employer. Hopefully, there is a large enough box for explanation of skills so you can explain that your most recent relevant job is the second listed. The company may also want to see what you would do in a no-win situation. Hence the explanation regarding the second job listing. | |
