Recommend good recruiting companies
Hi folks, I recently started my job search, and I will use monster to hunt for jobs, but since I am looking to relocate, I also wanted to contact some good recruiting companies and have them look for opportunities. Any suggestions for who I should get in touch with? I don't want to randomly contact recruiters - focus on trusted companies, who are known to be considered positively by companies looking for executive/managerial candidates. I am looking at the software echnology industry, for positions in product marketing/management, business development or technical sales positions (like solutions architects). My target areas (in order of interest) are - Chicago - Boston - the Bay Area - New York City other technology hubs like Seattle, Denver etc... Thanks for any help! the words "good" and "recruiters" do not belong in the same sentence! But seriously they are the way to put feelers out in a new town and state - so as much as I hate to even put their name out here try Robert Half for one and then start maybe asking recruiters in the town you live in now to see if they service those other cities. A lot of them are national chains. And while you are on Monster or any of the other job boards you can easily spot the recruiters names for positions you are finding - go from there and do the search for the zip code of course and when you see the recruiting place name do a search for them and it will take you to their main website so you can look at all of their jobs and register with them all on paper anyway and you will have a good head start for doing a face to face when the time comes. For example I signed up with many of them when I was still in Illinois and used a fake address but my phone number and email to be reached. And since I was singed up with one place in Illinois they had an office here and I didn' t have to go through all the testing and background checks | |
