Check out your options by going onto the various job boards and inputting the cities you think would be good for you. Check out the websites for those particular states and in turn the cities to determine what they have to offer you in the way of affordable housing, traffic, length of commute, diffculty of travel within, insurance rates, smog, weather, crime and all the rest of the relocation criteria. Check the state's unemployment website to determine if that state would be best for you in terms of job stability.

When you figure out where you want to be, concentrate on which companies you think would be the best to start your job search with. Contact BBB to ask if there has been any complaints surrounding these companies. Again contact that state's unemployment or maybe even Department of Labor to check if there have been any employer/employee complaints connected with the company.

Job markets vary so much based on not only availability of talent but experience wanted. Plus all the regular things like the economy of the area, the financial viability of the company, etc.
