References In Functional ResumeShould I include my references in my functional resume. And what kind of references should I include. I don’t have any references except for my previous employers. I included in my resume their names and phone numbers, is that enough or what should I include in the reference section. It definitely couldn' t hurt. It also shows that you don' t have anything to hide and are confident that your previous employer thinks high enough of your work to include the name and number well before you are asked. I wouldn' t include references on my resume. You don' t want EVERY potential employer to call your references or them not to be prepared to answer every interviewers questions. Only give references after you' ve had an interview and you seem like a good fit for the position and company. Your references should be people that will say favorable thing about you. In addition, to past employers other possible references former classmates (preferably ones that you worked with on projects/assignments), professors/teachers, and someone for the org you volunteer at (i.e. the coordinator at the youth center). | |
