Interview Thank Yous
I read in an article regarding sending thank you notes after an interview that you should send a thank you to everyone you met with at the interview. I have an interview coming up at which I will first meet with one member of the HR team for the company who will be administering a basic skills assessment before I move on to the actual interview. For the interview, I will meet with the manager of the department that has the available position, and also another HR representative. Do I need to send a thank you note to all 3 people, or can I get by with sending one only to the manager? Thanks.
Thats a good question, maybe you should send one to all 3 of the HR managers, b/c you being interview by all 3 right?
In my experience, it is ALWAYS best if you can send along a little "thank you" note/email to each and every person who interviewed you for a job--even that assessment employee. Saying "thank you" always makes a good impression and really does make you stand out as a candidate for the job as many, many candidates (I' ve been a hiring manager, so I know) don' t even bother to send along a basic "thank you" email to the hiring manager. Saying "thank you" is so easy these days because of email; you can never go wrong by being the ultimate class act in the job-seeking process. I make sure and get the business card of everyone I am interviewed by because 9 times out of 10 their work email address is there. If not, you can always call the administrative | |
