Between a rock and a hard place!I have a serious issue that came up on an interview that I don't know how to answer welll as both possibilities are negatives. I am currently applying for a Proffesional hospital job. The credentialing for the position takes 2-3 months on avg, The problem is that a left my last position at a clinic before I secured another job, and considering it takes 2-3 months to do paper work even not counting the search process that it's very rarely done. The reason I left my clinic job was that I was very uncomfortable with the shady practices there and I felt I couldn't be part of them. Now my options are 1) talk poorly about my last employer as to the reason i left early 2) look stupid for leaving a job before securing another is there a 3rd option that I can go with? There are a couple of things you can try. You can try the old "left my job to concentrate on my job search" but frankly, I don' t think anyone really believes that. Instead, you might give a version of the truth. Something like: I realized that I was not a good fit with the management style of Acme, so I decided that rather than give less than my best to the patients, it would be best to leave and focus on finding a better fit. I think that YOUR COMPANY would be a good fit because (something about what you know about their vision and values- check their website for some buzz words here). | |
