LOMA underwriting candidate screeningHello Everyone, I have an interview tomorrow at a large insurance company for an underwriting associate position. I was told that a component of the interview is a LOMA test to determine if I would be a good candidate for their underwriting class. When I questioned the woman on this LOMA test, she said there was no way to prepare for it and would not give me much information about it. I found their website, but they want you to join ($) before they will release much info. Has anyone taken this test before? Any tips? Thanks in advance, Greg I am in an Associate U/W position currently and have taken two of the exams and preparing for the 3rd. Have you visited Loma.org or lomanet.org? These are the websites for these exams. They do require studying and you are sent two books. The tests I have taken were multiple choice tests on a computer at a testing site. If you study they aren' t that bad. Most of the exam questions are on the disk that comes with the study materials to do a practice test. About 85% of the questions seem to be the type of question on the desk. I hope this helps. There are several LOMA tests to get the insurance designation. It is not just one exam. I would start with LOMA 280. The list of designations and exams are on the LOMA.org site. I know this is after your post; but I just saw it. Did you end up with the job? | |
