Another shot
Two years ago I went through a very intensive interview process for a great job. Several phone interviews led to them flying my and my wife to their company for 2 days of in person interviews, tours, etc. In the end they offered me the job, and amazingly the salary was pitiful. Even though it was a great job, we simply couldn't live on that salary. Even in the interviews they asked the one thing that would prevent me from taking this job and I said too low of a salary...and they still offered it to me. Well, I just noticed that the EXACT same job at this same company has been posted. My wife and I are now in a different financial situaion (she is now working from home making good money and so her job can follow her to this new place unlike before when she would have been unemployed), so I believe the salary would no longer be an issue. So, should I call them up and say if they're still interested in me, I'm ready to come or should I just forget it?
Do the people you interview with still work there? Its been two years, they may not even remember you. If you are honestly interested in the job, I'd simply apply for it and see what happens.
Yes, the main person doing the hiring is the same, and not to be arrogant, but it's a pretty small town and I'm sure they remember me...at least my name. | |
