Best Advice...

I have an interview Monday that I am hoping to get an offer from. After several rejections (some after a second interview) and situations at work making it difficult to continue being employed, I am stressed (and a little depressed) and am considering quiting my current job before finding a new one. While this wasn't relevant really to my question, just wanted to get it out.

I know the basic important stuff of an interview: be prepared, dress/act professional, know answers but don't sound as if you are reading a script, be able to carry the conversation without being too passive or assertive, etc. etc. I've read the rules, know them very well.

What I'm hoping to find out is  more along the lines of tips/tricks/suggestions that may land the job, that aren't standard givens when it comes to interviews. Does that make sense? If anything, share the best piece of advice you habe.

The best tip/trick for landing the job is to be the right one for the spot. Since you don't know exactly what they consider to be the "right" one, all you can do is be yourself.

And advice you didn't ask for, don't quit your job until you have a new one.  It is MUCH easier to find a job when you have one.  As long as they're not beating you in the basement, hang in there.
