3rd Interview

I am preparing for my 3rd interview at the same company for the same position.  However, each time, I've interviewed with different people from different client groups.  After my 1st interview, I was told that they reallly liked me, but decided to go with someone else.

I later applied again (this is a large company) and was called in for another interview. This time I met with someone totally different.  After this interview, which I thought went very well, I was told that I was liked, and that I should expect a phone call the following week for round 2.  Well, that was  4 weeks ago and I haven't heard back.  The recruiter has not returned my phone calls.

Once again I see another posting for the position, so I apply.  Once again, I get another phone call from a different recruiter (different recruiters each time) requesting that I come in an interview....same position...different client group...different interviewer.  I am hoping that the 3rd time is the charm because I am really interested in working for the company.

My question is...if am not selected this time, should I give up on this company?  I really wish that I was provided with some tangible feedback, so I could fix what ever seems to be wrong.  Friends seem to think that my resume is the attraction.  I don't know....But, don't these recruiters/hiriing managers talk to each other.  Why do they keep calling me for an interview?  But never call back with an offer or something.  It's getting frustrating!!

Assuming the 3rd time is not the charm, I'd say that there is something in your interview that is either not what they expect or not something they like.  It may be something that someone can do some mock interviews with you and identify, or it may be that your style and manner just doesn't seem to them to be the right fit for the position or company.  If it is the right fit issue, there's nothing you can do about it but move on and stop beating a dead horse.

I'd try something fixable first.  Have a good friend or relative who is really knowledgeable about business interview you for the position. This has to be someone who will straight up tell you the truth.  Dress the same, do whatever you'd do.  Have them tell you if they can see anything that isn't right.  If possible, film it at the same time.  Go over it yourself and see if you can see anything that isn't right.  If so, fix it.

Good luck on the third try.  If you DO get the job, that's going to make a great story to tell one day!

Unless it will cause you grief, money, etc... go ahead and try. What do you have to lose?

I would, however, think about your last two interviews. Were you reserved, business-like? Come out of your shell more. Were you giddy and very friendly, rein it is a little. What ever you have been doing, it ain't working.
