Seal the Deal
I got through a phone screen and first interview with a company, and finished the second interview today. I feel like I nailed it, shortly after I sent a lovely thank you letter to them. I would be absolutely thrilled to get this job, everything about it seems like a great fit. I was wondering if there's anything else I can do to show them I'd be a great addition to their staff?
I think you've done about all you can do. You've done a great interview and followed it up with a thank you letter. Now, the difficult part starts in being patient enough to wait them out. You might be thrilled and anxious to start but their timetable for filling a job is much different. Just be patient and they'll get back to you if you're the one they want. Jay
I know their timetable, I'll have an answer by Thursday. I was told they'd only be bringing 3-5 people back in for a second interview, at the same time, just because they said they are bring that many people back doesn't mean they are. It could have been 2 and it could be 15. I know they were interviewing this past Thursday and Friday and I don't know what they have this coming week, my guess they are going to finish interviewing Monday and Tuesday, make a decision sometime Wednesday and an offer Thursday. Part of me wants to drop an email on Tuesday, stating that I know they will make a decision by Thursday, but I wanted to let them know I'm still interested. It may come off pushy, but they seem to have an extremely different culture than other companies, that maybe it'd be ok. I just want to make sure I do everything I can to get this job! | |
