The Waiting Game suggestionsI had a group interview last week - it was not as weird as it sounded, but it went pretty well and I was told at the conclusion that I would probably get a call Monday or Tuesday of this week to schedule the 2nd interview with the recruiter's manager. Monday afternoon, the recruiter's manager called for the interview itself, asking if I had 10-15 minutes. 10-15 minutes became nearly an hour - it was one of the best interviews I have ever had. She was pleased with the answers I have, the perspective I have on the work I would be doing if chosen and upon closing, I told her that I am really excited about the opportunity and hope that it works out, which I think she responded to well. It is 2 days later. Yes, I know - it's only 2 days. I guess I got caught up in how quickly the 2nd interview came and based on the recruiter's information that the position has been open for a while and they want to fill it sooner rather than later, my sense is that they will be moving on to the 3rd client interview soon. Do I call to find out what their time frame is? Or do I have a modicum of patience and wait to hear from them? Wait a full week, then call on the phone and ask the status and/or when you should check back again. Just because they moved quickly at one point does not mean they'll be able to do so throughout.

Yeahhhhhh... that's kind of what I figured too. I'm just not very good at waiting. | |
