Checking references
I interviewed for job last week that is perfect for me!
I felt that the interview went very well....so much that the hiring manager went and got her boss for me to meet!!
She said that a final decision was expected in a couple of weeks....however, one of my references told me today that they had been called.
Does this mean that they are close to making a decision??
Well, I' d say it is a good sign that they are checking references, because that means the process is still moving forward. That said, they could make a decision right away or still take another couple weeks. I know waiting is difficult....I just started a new job a couple months ago and even though my interview and getting the job were the main things on my mind, I' m sure the hiring manager had a lot of other things going on besides trying to fill my position. Sit tight, it sounds like you are on your way.
