Follow UpI interviewed earlier in the week for a great position at a great company. I really hope to get the job. During the interview I found out that I was their first interview and they'd be doing call backs and second interviews at the end of the month (a week and a half away). After the interview I sent a follow up email, and I was told in their response they enjoyed meeting with me and they'd be in touch. At this point should I just sit and wait to hear from them or would it be acceptable to send a message mid-next week to the effect of "I know you said you'd be letting people know of second interviews next week, but I wanted to get in touch and let you know I'm still interested...."? The "end of the month" is a relatively vague statement. For some people the end of the month is the last day of the month. For others it can be anytime with the last week. I thnk it should be fine to send them a short email around Wednesday (or even call) to check the status of the decision making. Since you interviewed before all others, the amount of information floating inside their heads is humongous and they would probably appreciate a refresher of your strongest points given in the interview.
