Hi, everyone!  I've posted a couple threads previously, most recently the Interview Follow-Up Timeline Help thread (http://monster.prospero.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?tsn=6&nav=messages&webtag=mstinterview&tid=299).  This question pertains to the interviews I discussed in that thread.

I had my 2nd interview Tuesday morning (4/17/07) with the company for the Internet Sales Manager position.  I met with the 2nd partner, and the interview went very well.  He told me I was one of the three final candidates, and that I was the front-runner.  At the end of the interview, the 2nd partner welcomed me to call back every couple days, if I wanted, to check on the status of the decision-making process (at that time, he said everyone would hear something by the first of next week), and assured me that it wouldn't be bothersome.  Pretty cool guy.

Apparently, the interview went so well, in fact, that the original interviewer (the 1st partner) called me back at 2:30pm that same afternoon (4/17/07).  During his phone call, he wanted to verify that it was ok for him to contact my reference that is listed as working with me at my current employer.  I told him that was fine, and he then asked how much notice I would need to give (was pleased with my answer of 2 weeks, as he said he would want to be afforded the same consideration) and told me what my exact starting salary would be (instead of giving a range, as was given during the 1st interview).  He then told me that he would be contacting some of my references, getting some papers together, and would give me a call in 1-2 days.

Two of my references have verified they immediately received a call from him, during which he told both of them that he would be offering me the position (one was a direct statement of this, and one was an "I'm sorry to be taking such a valuable employee from you, but I've been in the same position before, etc...").  So, it looks as if I should be expecting an offer very soon.  Great news for me!

Where do I go from here?  This is technically the 2nd day of the 1 to 2 day mark, and yes, I feel it is too soon for me to call today.  However, should I call Friday?  Monday?  At all?  I ask since I was encouraged so greatly to call back and check every 2 days or so, and also because it's an aggressive field such as Sales.
