2nd interview
I just had the 2nd interview with a company, I believed it went well and they asked me a lot of questions and I answered correctly I believed; is it "I think" a bad work to use during the interview? The manager wasn' t there, instead they asked another manager to meet me and the total are 3 people; I asked them when will they make decision stuff like that, they said next week. What is your thoughts? what is the process of the hiring ?
I think the term "I think" can be both good and bad. It depends on how it was used. I don't like to use the term because I feel it's too tentative for certain questions, and doesn't make me look as compenent as I really am. So I thik it depends on the context you used that phrase, and the interviewer. For every position, I've been hired for, I hear within a few days of the project decision deadline. Even if the interviewer is just telling me that the decision making process will take longer than anticipated. When I don't hear anything either way, within a few days of the project decision making timeline, then I figure I haven't gotten the job. But, I'm almost always applying for multiple positions and I keep interviewing until I have a written offer and have accepted that offer. I think the biggest mistake that anyone can make (and that I made when I was a new college grad) was interview and then stop the job search until I had heard from the organization I interviewed with.
when you go for an interview, do you need to ask yourself? "I don't need this job, but I want to try my best to get it." Do you need to have this kind of thinking? | |
