HELP!! 2 interviews with same Co.I have an interview next week at a hospital I have been trying to land a job in--I filled out applications for a few jobs at this hospital actually........I got a call today from them, again, wanting to interview me for a different position I applied for..... The HR person who called me is the person who will be interviewing me next week (wed.).......Do I interview for BOTH of the positions? What should I say to the HR person that called me--"Yeah--Hi. You just called me to come and interview for the blah-blah position but I already have an interview scheduled with you on Wed. for something different." Not sure what to do or say here...........Say nothing?? Just to keep things straight in my mind. You applied for a few jobs at the hospital and received a call for an interview for position A. Then you received a call for an interview for position B and both of these interviews are with the same HR person. I think that is what you are saying. So, while I realize that human resource people are so inundated with resumes and phone calls and interviews and all of that HR baloney that it is hard to keep one person from sliding into another, I am still surprised that the woman didn' t realize that she had already called you about position A. Putting that aside, though, I say no, don' t tell her. This may put her in the position of being able to ask you if you think you are better suited for one position over the other and why. If, at the beginning of the interview for the second position, she recognizes you and comments on it, tell her that yes, you did interview for the other position with her and that you are excited to get the chance to expand on that interview with this one. | |
