Interviewed for other pos. in parent co.I had two interviews this week with ad shops under the same parent company and last year, I had two interviews with two other shops in the same company. Because of scheduling issues, I was asked to come back next week (which in this case is the truth and a great opportunity to shine even more with further research this weekend). Before I left, I asked the HR manager if the fact that I have interviewed with other firms in the same corporation has effect on interviewing with him and he assured me that that is not the case. I have no reason to believe that he wasn' t telling the truth, in fact, he must have made a great push on my behalf to return next week. To make a long post short, is there a logical rhyme or reason that companies ask if you have interviewed with other firms with the same parent? While I doubt that they sit back and talk smack about the candidates over a brew, there is a reason why I am still interviewing. Thanks and good luck to all of us trying to make a living. I forgot to mention, these are positions within the advertising industry. | |
