Indian RecruitersI have had foreign-born friends all my life, including East Indians, so I'm not prejudiced. However, lately I am increasingly frustrated with Indian recruiters calling from bad phone connections. I try to be patient but many times I can't understand what they are saying. I'm sure they are calling from cell phones, but with such bad connections I wonder if they are calling from Bangalore? I know that many of these Indian firms were brought in for IT requirements like software testing, and most major companies now use them extensively, but I don't know why they are recruiting Americans. This seems reversed, somehow. I guess it all means that these Indian consulting firms are willing to take a lower margin so they become preferred providers. Which is fine, I'll work with them. I am just having trouble understanding them. Has anybody had any success getting an interview through an Indian firm? | |
