MYTH OF GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE...

There is always this myth that the "government is bad at doing anything." The government could not handle universal health care because it would be incompetent.

Myth. How about the post office? Sure, some mail gets misplaced and undelivered or delivered to the wrong addresses....however, it has done a pretty good job since the early pony express.

How about the Department of Motor Vehicles? They did and do pretty well.

GET RID OF THE MYTH OF "privitazation"is the only way.

GET RID OF THE IDEA THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS ALWAYS INCOMPETNET.

MYTH.

Yes, the government, despite recent evidence, does have a history of doing things well.  There was the EPA under Roosevelt, the Interstate Highway System under Eisenhower, and various bridge and dam projects over the last 60 years approved by both parties of government.

So why is healthcare the big, bad bogey man?  It's not.  We've just been fed a whole lot of propaganda  by the people would stand to lose their enormous profits.

We live in a society where money rules.  One of the most stupid decision the Supreme Court ever made was to allow a company to patten a gene. Not the process to find the gene, but the gene itself.  That decision has come under a lot of scrutiny and criticism, but still hasn't been reversed.

The only way the average person can make themselves heard is to make their feeling know on the state and federal  levels.  It still takes votes to put or keep a politician in office. No matter how much money lobbyist contribute, they can't vote more than once.

Go to:

WWW.HEALTHCARE-NOW.ORG and become part of the movement to pass H.R. 676 Medicare for All.

WWW.CONGRESS.ORG provides an easy to use way to write to state and federal officials.

Thanks.

I just signed the petition. I will do more later.
