Disinterest is a two way street.
If employers don't want to hire me, either by genuinely or ingenuinely making up lame reasons to pass me over, my response is simple. To hell with all of them. I can stay unemployed for as long as I want. Employers will eventually need employees to handle varying workloads. Therefore we ( the applicants ) have all the leverage. So much is made that finding the right combonation of ways to make yourself presentable so instead of getting turned down or passed over, you get the job. It's never the employer's fault for turning someone skilled down is it? No it's always the applicant's fault. It doesn't really matter if there's something you didn't say or do, compared to what someone else does say or do, or presents on a resume' / cover letter. This is what I most often hear, however stupid and rediculous it actually sounds. When are people ( you idiots know who you are ) going to acknowlege that employers make mistakes in hiring the wrong kind of people? If an employer hired me, and the next day I decided to not even show up, regardless of the threat of termination, is it the employer's fault for sifting through resumes, holding interviews, and eventually hiring me? Well if you don't like me, your answer is obviously yes. But on the other hand, to stay true to what people say recently regarding employers who never make mistakes, where would that circumstance put them?
Think real hard about this one, x. The employers you have been in contact with must be very smart. They did not make a mistake. They apparently did their homework by checking resumes, cover letter, backgrounds, etc. An employer is looking for someone who is responsible, for one thing. Why do you suppose they did not hire you? Could it be the culmination of all of these things that you have told us in past posts: 1. You went to school but did not finish. 2. You took a technical job, which is what you wanted, but was fired after two months. 3. You worked part-time at a hospital doing janitorial work. Never attempted to talk to management about getting another opportunity in the hospital, i.e. technical. 4. You took a security guard position. Instead of asking directly for a raise, you asked to work more hours, 72 to be exact. You were already complaining that you were very tired and the employer was smart enough to say "no" to the request. You became disgruntled and quit. 5. Since then, you have been unemployed. The only avenue of job hunting you are using is the library's computer to look online (when, in fact, you are spending most of your time here on Monster instead). You have not taken any steps at all to stay marketable. 6. Your credit is terrible. You have an enormous amount of debt which is getting bigger all the time because you are signing up for credit card offers, taking the money and spending it on lottery tickets and such.
No xttwo. Employers never make mistakes ..... when it comes to evaluating people like you. Others however, well even Jesus said we're all fallible, even employers. Take that how you wish. _______________________________________________________________________ ( You could have saved yourself plenty of typing time had you chose to write it this way. )
I did say what I should have said to you. You reap what you sow, x. Perhaps you should take more direction from Jesus.
Jesus isn't a penguin loving hypocrite.
