If you will logon to the link above, and agree to send a message to Bush, we may be able to save animals that we have worked so hard to bring back from the brink of extinction. I posted this message on CE board too, I'm begging for you help, this cannot be allowed to happen!

Thank you so much!

TB and all,

Thank you for the post.

If anyone has the time, the Natural Resource Defense Council has actions to be taken. Just go to NRDC.org and you can be directed to the alerts from there.

Thanks in advance.

We are talking about 400 hundred wolves at the onset, if the Bush Administration gets it's way. Please, it only takes a second, we need 50.000.00 more votes!

For those of you who are fed up with the Bush Administration, this is just one more way to let them know!

I used to be afraid of wolves and felt these animals should be shot on sight. In the 1980s, that changed. I went to a animal waystation where exotic animals were kept after their owners got tired of them. I saw how these animals, although wild, were really smart animals.

We humans encroach upon their territory and when they kill our livestock we determine they are dangerous. No, they are doing what nature designed them to do. When they kill, they kill for food. Wolves roamed the Yellowstone area for centuries. It is their home just like the Grizzly bears called Yosemite their home until man slaughtered them.

Until one sees wildlife in their natural habitat, I really do not think most people can imagine what our nation would be like without these great animals.

Good post Tango!!!

Hi OC,

Thanks my friend! Your post is right on target, as usual, and I love ya for taking the time to say what I seem to be having difficulty expressing. Wolves kill to eat, they do not attack to kill or destroy, but to feed their young. Man doesn't even recognize these beautiful, magnificent animals, they are gunned down with high powered rifles
while following them with a helicopter. This animal as a brain that is 20% larger than a dogs, they have the most amazing hunting skills. They can actually track down sick or injured animals, those that are weak and dying. They can tell if an animal is infested with ticks, which is fatal to the host, so when they find that animal and kill it, they prevent it from caring the ticks back to the herd. (Talking about deer.)

The common misconception is that the wolf hunts constantly attacking whatever comes into their territory, that is absolutely false. Much of the time they do not have enough to eat. They can carry up to 35lbs of food that can
be regurgitated to feed the young, all hunt to feed the young, and they use the most incredible team work I've ever seen. When I was allowed to visit the wolves of the Nez Perce, I sat with wolves, an entire pack with pups. The Alpha female approached me with her one of her pups in tow, I looked down never making eye contact with her. She nudged her pup a little closer to me, and I reached out a let him smell my hand. That little guy turned and then jumped into my lap licking my face, he was absolutely gorgeous. The Alpha Female moved closer, curled up and layed next to me. The pup was one of many wolves I have adopted, (Meaning I financially provide for him.)his name was Lakota. He turned out to be a Alpha Male.

I wish everyone could experience this, you have an entirely different attitude about animals when you are exposed to them, and they welcome you into their territory. I cannot bear the thought of anyone killing a wolf. OC, if you ever get an opportunity to visit, please do so, you'll be amazed!

Thanks again OC!

Again, you've opened my eyes and led me to another wonderful website .......
Thanks!
