Memo 3

Re: Your Hypocritical Self

Dear A$$-

When telling your subordinates (in addition to the ENTIRE department) via an email "reminder", that they need to get their breakfast, and consume it, BEFORE punching in for work, it would really be of benefit to you, that when I, Troll Goddess-Your Equal (btw)-comes to your cube to ask you a JOB related question, that you are not macking down on a breakfast burrito.

Just some 'food' for thought....

And, if you'd like to discuss the ramifications of your stupidity, I have a handy food pyramid-er, I mean,  Flow Chart, ready and waiting...

Thank you for helping to keep the overall morale high.

Best Regards,

TG

TG,

Another much-needed memo for our fearless staff. We salute thee.

roglmao! Too funny TG!

tb:)

It is indeed funny-she had the nerve to tell me when I jokingly challenged her that the email did not apply to her because she was salaried! shocked

I laughed in her face (I really did-I could not compose myself) and walked away.

It's also really sad-this is the quality we get to work with.  Every day we see posts on these boards about the garbage that, I guess some feel they have to put up with, or, wind up putting up with, or, whatever the case may be, and it's people like this babe that ruins it for everyone, in ethics and attitude.

TG

Good one!

Funny how the perpetrator usually always get mad at you for bringing up something they are doing that they are NOT supposed to be doing.

Several months ago I brought to the attention of my co-worker that she should make most of her personal calls after work hours and not on business time.  (This was just after she was on the phone with her cable company for an hour discussing her account and after months of listening to her fight with her daughter over the phone at work.)  She snapped at me and said it was none of my business and hasn't really said much to me since that time.

The office manager knew about it but didn't do anything about it.  She stays in her office most of the time.  I guess - out of sight, out of mind.

We must've worked in the same office (priorly).

This type of thing doesn't happen only at work.  People get indignant when they are asked (politely) to move their car which is blocking the entrance to our driveway, or to move a shopping cart to one side of the aisle in the grocery store so I (and other shoppers) can get by.

By "politely" I mean no profanity and using the word "please".

Is the person who was on the phone with personal calls in a cubicle?  Cubicles can give a false sense of privacy.  People have to realize that there is no top or a door that can close and that sound carries.

Hey Penguin-

Right? But if *you* engage in the behavior, *OH, MY!*  A Crime has been Committed, there's the culprit!-

Not that you would do that, because I know differently. You bring professionalism and credibility to the workplace, and I think you are good role model. Then again, I admit a bias....wink

Hey Nan-

Ohhhhhh, no....I wish it were a cube wall thing, because then there'd be room for an "excuse"-not that taking personal calls on company time is "excusable", per se. But you know, stuff happens, your kids get sick, or your spouse calls-some things cannot be helped, and you have to take the call. THAT is understandable.

This is an open office format, and I currently sit 3-4 feet away, if that. And I would not be complaining if she attempted to keep her voice down, but she doesn't. And others, who are actually conducting company business, have to talk over her to be heard by the other party, so much so, that the next thing you know, there all this noise that's erupted just from people talking and trying to hear each other.

And I am not one of those folks that needs it quiet all the time. Every now and then a little noise keeps the day interesting and chases the monotony away for a moment. But what I was referring to was beyond the usual-this chick is loud.

Amen on shopping cart courtesy, too!

Peace,

TG
