Privacy in Job HuntDo people notice how many online job applications are not secure websites? Has anyone out there not responded to an ad because you saw the website didn't protect your personal information? It's frustrating to see things I'm qualified for and not respond because there's no "https" or lock in the corner. I've already been an identity theft victim once and once was quite enough, thank you! Does anyone have suggestions about applying for jobs online and ensuring our personal info is protected? Thanks, Ooh I could not agree more. I hate that. I've even called them out on it, depending on how bad I wanted consideration. Sometimes I XXX-XX-XXXX in my SSN, just to make the point, and then in the "would be happy to forward additional information" section of my cover letter, say things like "...personal information that should not be sent over unsecured sites..." | |
