  • Mechanics and repairers
  • Special education teachers
  • Actors and directors
  • Science technicians

Psychologists are on the list but not doctors.  O.K.  And the office supervisors I know and have come across over the years wouldn' t be on the "gratified" list.  Something is not quite right with that information.

I work in the legal field and I am happy with my job itself.  I have just learned to tune out a couple of my co-workers.  They have a different work ethic than I do -- meaning they have less of a work ethic.  I am for education, they are not.  They complain.  I don' t.

Of course, like most people, I would rather be retired and be my own boss.

No, I am not satisfied with my job and my career and I resigned today.  I think there' s something missing from this - a breakdown by geographical area.

I guess as an Adult Education instructor, I fall in between the categories of Special Ed Teacher and Teacher, but I'm not lovin' how my new director is running things. I'm not even sure I'm going to have a job come the end of June; heck, with the way certain things are looking, I don't know if any of us are going to have a job come the end of June. (Then again, the way the grant is worded, we never know if we're going to have jobs at the end of the fiscal cycle....)

I am working on my resume and starting to look more closely as the results of my "job agent" searches.

Where the heck have you been all this time?

working (still in health care) and raising 3 children.  Just built house #2.  keeping busy.  how' s things your way.  does Jen still post here?

She doesn't post too often anymore. Doobie and Mike post sometimes.

I'm still causing havoc here in Monster Land.

Not on the list but.......

Love the work I do.  Thankfully I am in a great field with good opportunity.

Don' t love the company I do it for right now but that changes pretty regularly depending on my mood

Like my boss right now and have a great relationship with him, may follow him to Germany for a 2 year assignment.  That might be fun.

Hate my Ex-VP, but have had 3 of them in 3 years so this is really pretty irrelevant to my on-going happiness

Like some of my co-workers but not all.  Thankfully I can tune them out most of the time.

Like alot of my clients, most of them right now as a matter of fact but that changes regularly

Spend to much time on the road still (90%+) but still there are weeks when I am home all week and can do what I want so that makes up for it

Still work an average of 60 hour weeks.  But see above, still have down weeks and get paid the same

Make a great living (good years with bonus still make above $200K)

Overall - Gratifying work  and Happy

great to see a familiar face here.  just ran into jen on the community general chat board.  I haven't been here in years, but just decided to pop my head in after awhile just to see the new format and see if any regulars are still here.  you, Jen, Mike, doobie, Catoutahell, and some others are still here.  Are the mods still heavy handed?  I remember last time I posted here, I was up to 600 different screen names in one year!  Peace out!!
