I have a real vent todaySo, I caught you reading messages on work time. :) Of course if you' re not at work then you should be doing something a little more productive at this hour - don' t ya think? Or do you think at all; whatever, cripe of the day is people using computers when they are suppose to be working. Don' t you hate it when your working like a dog and the person next to you or side from you is like sitting there, ' ON COMPANY TIME!' surfing the Web. That certainly be most folks, as it' s pretty much high on the pet peeve list at work. So, if you' re at work and surfing the web, then please look at your fellow worker who is working like a dog and stop surfing. Find some work to do for grapes sake. Let me be quite blunt, what your neighbors are doing in their cube in none of your business! You are a busy-body minding everyone else' s business. This is an issue between them and their supervisor. When you are the supervisor, then you can make the rules. I work in IT and see this all day long. We know every web page employees go to. We, as most companies, can easily track this by employee. If a supervisor wants to know this information, I give it to them. But this is none of my business and it is none of yours. You' re absolutely right, species8...I looked over and saw my coworker busting her a$$. Of course that is for the 38 seconds between her NAPS at her desk, in plain view of the world. Go take a walk and cure yourself of your obsession with other peoples' work habits. Both of you must be the guilty ones. See, difference between you and me is that I "DO" care. :) I know where your coming from species8, but its not always the regular employees who are guilty of this. I know a manager who surfs Walmart and Target websites, cuts coupons out of Thursday sale papers and balances her check book at her desk, all on company time. She also makes personal phone calls frequently, and leaves early and comes in late. Her employees have complained about this but management just looks the other way. Needless to say her department has low moral and management wonders why. | |
