Recruiters, you should not have excuses

Well, I got documentation that there is indeed GOOD recruiters out there. Recently, I had been in touch with a recruiter that recruits for hiringcompanies.

This person has pretty much went above and beyond the call of duty.  Notonly she has returned my phone calls for my follow-ups for inquiries about aposition I have applied for, BUT when I sent her a resume, she actually critiquedmy resume and RE-formatted and tweaked it for me, and returned it to me viaemail.

So, now I have even a more impressive resume, thanks to the recruiter.

I now have an interview with the employer per the recruiter set up for me, andshe sent me an email with an attachment of the address, job description, andyou'll FAINT when you see this.

Interview TIPS and information (about a page and a half), ie - No Smokingbefore interview, handshake, eye contact, ask questions about the job, don'tlimit yourself to just Yes and No answers

Get business cards of everyone you meet, even up until the "Send a thankyou letter"

This recruiter should be given 2-gold stars for her performance.

I am just curious, any recruiters here have ever done that with specificemployees? Ever re-write their resume for them and send it back? Ever kept inconstant touch with a prospective employee who is eager about the position (asopposed to thinking he's a pain in the arse??).

If more recruiters were like this one, the world would probably be a littlebetter place to live in.  A lot of people could learn from this recruiter.

This is great!

There are two sets of words that are commonly confused in our language.

One is where people say "need" when they mean "want".  "I need a new car" really means, "I need transportation, but I want a new car."

In your situation MR, you have made clear that many people say "can't" when they mean "won't".  Yes, recruiters, you CAN do a better job getting back to people, since someone is already doing it.
