Too much to ask for

Dear to whoever it may concern,

I would like to know why is it so hard to find an entry level position.  I have worked construction for the past 3 years and now wish to make a career move.  I have tried applying for Q.A analyst, Data Entry and Computer Services positions and they all require somekind of experiance.  I have found out that knowledge and competency is not enough.  Where I am getting Frustrated is that they are supposed to be entry level positions yet they require some kind of experiance.  Looks like im stuck digging ditches

Can anyone give me advice in obtaining an entry level position in these fields and or an internship.

For all three of the jobs you mentioned, you need prior education and training.  If you can' t show the employer that, they won' t hire you.

If you really want a data entry or customer service job, you can try going through a temp agency to get some experience.   You will also find out if that' s really the kind of job you want to do.

I have never before attempted to obtain a job that requires any qualifications.  What you said made sense.  I will try to get some experiance first. Thanks

And, I don' t know if English is your first language or not, but you need work on your written skills if you' re going to be doing data entry or CSR jobs.  You have a lot of spelling mistakes and these are not the type of positions where you can run things through spell check.

You actually have two different problems:

If you need prior experience and skills, that's NOT an entry-level position! You're looking at the wrong jobs.

Second, it's actually hard to find an "Entry-Level Position". Companies often put job qualifications higher than what, actually, they need. They don't want to train or put some faith in inexperienced newbies. Once upon a time, companies offered a sort of "career track" within companies, from mail room to board room. But those days are gone.
