There are other jobs (higher paying jobs) that I' m holding out for.
The one I interviewed for isn' t so desirable. You work all 7 days a week, it' s 2nd Shift (from 3pm to 11pm) no days off. Pay sucks (like 8-something per Hour).
Only perks, maybe is that I get paid time and half for overtime (which I' ll be doing which is about 50 hrs a week)
Benefits. And I' d be working in an assembly line environment.
Funny thing is, they were offering me the position on the DAY of the interview....you usually know how crappy a job is, when they make you an offer at the time of the interview.
By the way ,this position is always advertised in the paper due to a high turn-over rate.
The thing is, I told them I needed a couple of weeks to "Sleep on it" because I' m at this point where I should be hearing back from a couple of other companies that pays alot more and has better working conditions. and of course work days, and have weekends off
(Why is it the crappy jobs they m ake you work endlessly, b,ut the pay sucks, where as the better jobs, you work LESS hours, and get paid more per hour?, weird)
Anyways, I was wondering if its a good idea to take the crappy job, and work there until I get hired by anotehr company
BUT...I did tell them, that I have other prospects, and well......it wouldn' t be fair for them to HIRE me, and me be there a couple of months only to leave rather abruptly....because it says it costs them money to train a person like me, only to leave quickly after I get a job offer a month later.
