Career Tips

To the Russian employee

We ask that you please stop the following behavior:

- Yawning out loud.  This makes everyone around you more tired (yawning is contagious after all).  It is pretty simple to yawn without getting your vocal chords involved, so please do so from now on.

- Hissing loudly.  I' m not sure how to describe this, as I' ve never heard any other person make this noise in my life, but it' s kind of like a cat hissing, except that you are doing it, and doing it loudly.  My guess is that you are trying to clear your throat.  Please be like others and clear your throat with your mouth closed from now on -- it will be quieter.

- Aggressively typing on your keyboard.  If you keep this up, your keyboard may need to be replaced soon.  Especially the ENTER key, as you always seem to hit it really hard for emphasis.  Software engineers also typically do not type so quickly and aggressively while writing code, so my guess is that you participate in a lot of IM chat sessions during the day.

Thank you for your understanding.

The Russian probalby doesn' t speak or understand English - let the worker yaown for grapes sake. I bet you sneeze too.

Software techs need to learn to type.

I think he came over to the states when he was young.

And yeah, I do sneeze.  But I don't complain about his sneezing.

The age at which a Russian comes to the U.S determines the habits he/she brings with them.  I moved to the states when I was 5 and I do not excersice that kind of behavior.  For the most part Russian people are extremely cultured and have enough common sence not to let others know when they are chating online.

I thought your post was funny, it sounds like something a "Comrade" would do.

P.S I know it can be hard to appreciate but don' t be prejudice against diversity all races do it.
