Its all about theYeah, this was a new on on me..... my buddy that works for Lowes, is cashing in on Manufacterer "Spiffs". If you work in Appliances at Lowes. So if you want a job at a place taht you didn' t expect to make money at a "Low wage job" apparently there' s a particular Dept at Lowes where you can make some good coin. For example if he sells a front load washer from whirlpool, they send lowes 27$ to his account.. THis is known as a "SPIFF". He' s made an extra 19,000 on Spiffs alone last year and an extra 15 grand this year. This is in addition to his crappy few bucks an hour job, and when his stocks reach 60 bucks a share he' s retiring. HE said everyone is trying to get into the appliance dept, he got in becuase he' s been wo rking there his entire natural life.....not many people work at those places (that' s non-management) for that long like he has. This is something I never heard personally of until now. Just to clarify, it' s not really a commision job, unless you sell special order custom stuff, "Spiffs" is in a classifciaton of its own. At first I asked if it' s like being a car salesman....nope....car salesman NEED to sell cars in order to make money to put food on the table, If a car salesman doesn' t sell cars, he makes a big 0 dollars. So in essence, a job in Appliances at Lowes, is alot better than being a car salesman. Definition of Spiff: A spiff is a small, immediate bonus for a sale. Typically,"spiffs" are paid, either by a manufacturer or employer, directly to asalesperson for selling a specific product. WOw....seems pretty simple, and not much to it. | |
