Im so sick of the crap in my office!!!!Let' s see, Congress pushed retirment age out to 70 for SS. Nice, you' ve only got 50 years to go. Buckle up, this won' t be your first job rodeo. . . Another hint: when you think you can' t be surprised by anything anymore, you will be. This will make you aware that you are still very much alive. Oh I wish I was young enough to work another 50 years. I' ve got 25 max. That' s what I get for coming back into the workforce! And believe me, I' ve done this rodeo before, I was just hoping that this time, because I was older and wiser, that I' d do a better job of finding the right place to work. Guess these grey hairs haven' t done me any good. I just try to grit my teeth and bear it. But I tell ya, if this is still going on a year from now, I' m going to be looking around. Ya know, ya treat someone with respect and sometimes they pay you back with crap. Maybe that was my first mistake, actually treating someone the way I want to be treated. I do not see any retirement as possible in my life and I know others who feel the same way. We all have many years of work ahead of us. That is just how it is and it won' t change. "Ya know, ya treat someone with respect and sometimes they pay you back with crap..." I too have found that I have respected people in the past who turn out to be worthless. However, you have no choice. You would never work knowingly with anyone who was trash. You take a job and find out that that you are back dealing with all about lies and games all day again. No way. How are you going to predict that? None of us read minds and none of us should have to. We go to work to do the job and get paid for it. We do not count on a freak show or scum behavior. You wouldn' t work there if you thought that was the case, to start with. Once you discover that the situation is what it is and that you are dealing with nothing but again, you make a choice to get away from it and hope for the best. That is all anyone can ever do. No one is God and no one can predict what humans will do. What is a real shame is that any of us have to go through working in these kinds of places in the first place. No one wants to be disappointed and disgusted about a new job and it happens to a lot of people. You start out wanting to believe in the place and you end up just trying to get away from it ASAP. There comes a point at which the lies and games so disgust you that you just want to walk out. You get fed up with being lied to after a while. This is not unusual and a lot of people are fed up with it. You are not alone and we wish you the best with enduring this and finding anything else. Staying in a place like that is not worth the effort. I hope you can find anything else. | |
