Training or Brainwashing
I don' t care what the idiot rationale is. For any particular employment opportunity, no training session should last longer than one week. Why three weeks, or three months? I would say that among other things, it doesn' t make any sense, but you' ve heard that from me more than enough times to count. So what' s the deal with you people? ( Speaking to employers ) Do you people actually think it' s well worth it to swamp a person with a daily dose of having to know each and every pain-stakingly difficult detail? Do you people ever stop and think ( no of course not ) the mundane-ness will no doubtedly render someone bored out of their mind and all to eager to quit after a number of days, weeks, or even months. No matter how desperately unemployed, no matter what their personal situation entails, by them needing to keep steady employment. They will quit, or not be too sorry to get fired. Tell me. Who actually smiles knowing they benefitted from weeks or months of so-called "training" ? Who says to themselves : Gee, if it weren' t for those months of training, I would be lost. Thank God. Somehow I doubt it. And anyone trying to say different is a lying idiot. If you' re one of those, be sure not to post an opinion here. I take it you don' t like training sessions. I signed up for a week trip to go to an industry conference last year for my annual training. If it had been a month, it would have been fine with me. Good food, hang out with my old cronies (networking) and no real work. I had a great time! I' m already planning this year' s training bash. I missed a conference in Germany last year, I wish the SAE would have an Alaska cruise conference. | |
