Certifiable SkillsYou want certificable skills? I got a BS in Common Sense. I also have an AT in hard work, discipline, and creativity. Not to mention an IGETGMTJ. What does that mean? I' m Good Enough To Give Me The Job. Doesn' t work that way? Ok then, tell me what does work? Giving someone a job they' ll eventually quit? Giving someone a job when you may have to fire them in less than a week or month? Because some of you idiot employers do that. Believe it or not. I' m sure Lisa Nowak could reel off an alphabet soup of academic credentials that could reach from here to Alpha Centuri ( 4.3 light-years ), but it wasn' t worth the hassle and criticism not only she brought on herself but NASA which I might imagine probably was so big headed in being the only highly complex employment agency that prided itself on such a sucessful screening process. Perhaps you should try for a Masters in Common Sense! Maybe that will help you more than what you have right now. Your common sense at this point is lacking royally because you fail to even try any of the ways many of the people on these forums have told you about how to find a job. That is why you remain jobless. Until you stop blaming the employer and look at yourself, you are going to remain unemployed. Better yet why not spend some of your immense spare time on a Ph.D in Social Sciences specifically Social Interaction. This would go a long ways toward landing you even an entry level position. The employer is not to blame for the fiasco of your employment situation, you are. Why not finally admit your whining isn' t working? An inflated ego will not help you get a job, but education/training/skills that the employer is looking for will. Any fool off the street can claim to be able to do any job. That doesn' t mean they can or can' t - the employer wants proof that a candidate has the qualifications they NEED to do the job. There are more people out of work than there are jobs, therefore the employers can be as picky as they want to be. If you can' t play the game according to their rules, YOU LOSE! It' s that simple. Get with it instead of griping all the time.
Listen to what you just said : any fool off the street can claim they can do the job. Any fool off the street with a degree can do the same thing.............and quit or get fired. The point you made is, as they say - a misnomer. ( a big one )
Please look up the definition of "misnomer". You are using it incorrectly. I' ll have to agree that you' re certifiable and have lots of BS. It' s no big thing to attend the school of hard knocks. Graduating, now that' s an accomplishment. Myself, I have an advanced degree from Carmichael' s Academy of Cultured Anatomy. Morgana, the kissing bandit, was my faculy advisor.
