Applying at the same place

This is something I had been wondering.  Say you are currently looking for a job, perhaps you're not working now...OR perhaps you're working, but you'd rather GET the job you want, and you see a  job posting at a particular company.  You apply for it....you don't get the interview, or you get the interview, but not get the job....the job closes, and you move on.

Say you are still working at your current job, or not working...and you see another position open up, same title, or a different title...you try to apply for it again, same thing happens, this time no interview.  or sometimes y ou get an interview.

Wash, rinse repeat.....you done the same thing 5 or 6 times with the same company, but had no success with getting hired on with them.

Okay, my question is.

1. You give up on even applying for their positions on the 7th time, should you even apply with them anymore, because I wonder if they see your name over and over...perhaps they just chuck it? I don't know.

2. Just keep doing it, it will eventually "Hit"?  Like a jackpot?

3. Perhaps they aren't seeing something on your resume that they are attracted to?

I'm getting some peoples advice...just friends though, that you shouldn't bother re-applying repeatedly with the same company if they aren't going to hire you.

Eventually, you would have gone through everyone that you've applied for in the geographic region...IN your field.

Perhaps there's 3-5 Major organizations you've tried to apply for, in your field that you tried to apply for. With no such luck.  Perhaps its time to switch fields...or even relocate?

Isn't it a fact that persistance pays off (?)  But in reality of your question.....your questions have merit in what a company's assessment of a resume could be.

I have interviewed with a company on two separate occasions; two different positions. Basically, after the second interview, I found it really wasn't a place I would've been happy with.

My thought process says to continue exploring and applying to positions with one company; until a really irate individual or group decides to end your aspirations with their company - (with a phone call). Or, that you've concluded the company really isn't worth the pursuit.

Bla Bec....good call :)
I say persistence is worth it.  I am a person who applied over ten times, then the employer is interested and your hired.  Job hunting is like fishing, you never know when the employer will be striking.  They maybe in a rough situation and if your the only one available, your up at bat.
