Teaching Kids to StealJust watched the evening news about a woman who had her kid crawl under a display case to steal a store employees purse. The kid obviously did not want to do this but the mother pushed the kid with her foot to do it. The woman stole $165 in cash and a Coach handbag. I know this type of thing should not be surprising any more but how can a parent teach their kid to steal? Adults stealing is bad enough but to teach a child how to steal is very wrong. Teaching her kid to steal. No, not surprising. The woman is not a parent. Reals parents don't teach their children that type of behavior. The kid will likely end up in juvenile detention one day. It's a real shame. While I realize there are lots of misfortunate people, the woman should, at the least, steal herself and preserve the dignity of the child.
I can see stealing food or basic necessities. I wouldn't mind if they really needed food. I have no problem with people needing food. But to have kids steal for you knowing the law will not press any charges against children is plain wrong. But to have kids steal for you knowing the law will not press any charges against children is plain wrong. All true. I would bet that was the woman's mentality. Or she was just plain wimpy. But a big however, we don't know the true story behind all this. It's hard to say that we can walk in another's shoes without actually experiencing their own realities. But for people in America to be hungry - that's plain wrong. | |
