Filters needed changing!
Today I actually worked - believe it or not. Temp firm send me to this job, when I get there the air vents are so dirty that I start to sneeze immediately. I had to sit there and type almost all day. Luckily, the temp agent only needed me there for one day. Why don't they vacum the air housing every once in a while. Geez, what is wrong with everyone. They're lazy and they do not give a damn. Most workplaces are absolutely filthy.
Bunzo Well, as someone who has worked closely with the Facilities part of several companies I can tell you that things like vacuuming the filters is a bigger project than you'd think. It is the responsiblity of the building owner, not the company that leases space. Most building owners do it twice a year. I do remember fondly however, the call center I worked in 20 years ago where we had a layer of silt on our desks every morning (the building was only a few feet from the freeway) and the drinking water fountains used to have some sort of black gunk that would show up when you tried to use them (no one did).
Tess Species, have you ever seen an air filter in a hotel/casino? Those things are installed white as snow and are replaced when it is totally BLACK! They are replaced once every two weeks. Some can be cleaned and reused. The service for this is expensive and most businesses cannot afford an HVAC company to do this work. | |
