Career Tips

career change or not

I just lost my job as an office manager, I have many years experience in this field but I think, I am burnt out, and need a new direction, Previously I was a business owner and  operations manager with no degree, (which is most likely being held against me) I have experience in other areas, in  my most recent position I was also in charge of  all ordering for all three of our locations with in our territory.  I found this area to be the most challenging and exciting as I had to  on many occasions go beyond our corporate purchasing department and source out various products, as in my past experience I also was doing purchasing, I feel that I may lack some of more in depth training and experience to further pursue the purchasing field. Any advise is  greatly welcome.

So, Operations Manager with skills including office and facility management, purchasing, etc.

(I don' t know what kind of businesses you have been in, therefore, can' t be specific about Operations - it means different things in different places.)

Another target for you is organizations that deal in the same kinds of products, services or process flows that you already have experience with.
