I am not being negative, but truthful.  Most job fairs these days are mostly a waste of time for technical and manufacturing jobs.  I attended one today, only because I was in the area.  Agency was only a mile away that I needed to talk to.  If you want to join the Marines and Army, be in healthcare, insurance or telemarketer that is where to go.  For the typical American worker there only good for is getting some free pens, not worth the gas money. 

They are not the job fairs in the last century and well attended by the quality employers of the past.  Monster and others use to advertise who is going to be there.  I think they must be embarrassed with the showing.

An older woman told me she offered herself to the Army, but they would not give her an application, seriously.  I told that she could use a machine gun in Iraq as good as anyone.  She knew that was a joke.

Staying positive, what people need to here is the government having a backbone and stop shipping our jobs out of the country.  The only jobs that need to be outsource are the temporary recruiters jobs, which all can be handled by email.  Then we don't  have to worry about having to go to their office.  I have worked with two out of state agencies on 2 contract assignments already.  That would make greater profits for the clients.
