Hello,

I am currently in a dilemma. I am transitioning from having a wealth of customer service/office experience to entering the world of publishing. I do have 6 months of Editorial Assistant experience, but that experience has been dormant for 7 years. I have a passion for writing and the literary world, but my confidence is lacking in securing a position at a magazine/publishing company. I have the talent, the drive and I am eager to learn the ropes of the industry, but I  am not sure how to express that on my resume/cover letters to get the employers attention for an interview. I also do not have a degree, which many employers look down upon. Any sugeestions for someone who is tired of the mundane and looking to free her life by being her authentic self?
