I was in outside sales for 5 years. I loved my freedom, liked the flexibility, enjoyed interacting with people but I also had challenges as well. Like any job. Well my company closed it's doors in December. After 2mos of looking for work, I found a new position as a Healthcare Recruiter working from home. It's been 2 days and all ready feeling like I made the wrong decision. The job itself isn't the problem because I've done recruiting before I was in outside sales but it's the way I'm being managed. The manager is asking that I set up IM & a webcam on my computer. They are expecting that I work 9-6pm at my desk. Obviously they won't know if I get up to use the bathroom or get something to drink but I'm feeling Micro managed all ready. Can anyone or has anyone made a transition from Outside Sales to Inside? Any suggestions please..
