Need some advice

I've been a teacher on the elementary level for 18 years. Things have changed drastically in the NYC Department of Education and the students get very little consideration nowadays. After so many years I think it is now time to explore another career path. The problem is that I don't know how to go about this. I have many valuable skills that can be translated to the business world but haven't found too many people interested in what I have to offer. Salary is also a problem...I really can't take less than I make now. Am I  up against a wall or is there a path that I can follow? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

You might need to take business courses, since we don't know your major. Might consider going back to get another major in business or an Associate degree for starters.

Showing that you are taking them, will show interest in the right employers.   Might even pay for them, since you have many of the non-technical courses out of way.
