Letters of RecommendationDoes anyone have any templates for Letters of Recommendations? I have tons of successful sales experience but no degree. To top that I have skeletons in my closet that pop up on my background. I have an offer pending the background, I was completely up front with my situation. I would really appreciate some help.
So, I assume you do have some references who are ready to sign a letter.... I don't have any templates per se, but I am sure that you could locate them with a google search. However, the reason I don't have any is that the recommendation letter is a customized document. Any hiring decision maker worth their salt will see a template letter for what it is. Roughly, you are going to have intro paragraph that explains the relationship between you and the writer of the letter. Then, a paragraph that talks about the writer's experiences and opinion of you. Then, perhaps a paragraph that makes note of a specific instance or two of times you have really shone. Or, a paragraph that speaks to the kind of job you are going for and why you would be a good candidate. Then a closing paragraph. Does that help? Ian Christie Career Changers Coach
Hi sullico Came across this article that is very interesting on this topic. When it comes to learning about a candidate, letters of recommendation don't stand up against real-time interaction. Not sure how to recommend someone to a potential employer? Get guidance from this sample letter of recommendation. Ever wanted to write a glowing letter of recommendation but weren't sure what it should look like? Here's an example. Hope this helps! MCCathy Community Moderator Monster | |
