CAREER

I am a Chemical engineer, with experince in oil , somehow decided to change my career, and did a masters in Manufacturing engineering. Got a job in Automotive Industry. Now after 5 years it seems like there is no growth in this career, to grow, I started MBA but now in the middle of this program, I feel like MBA is not going to help me either. What should I do, I am always thinking to go back to my original profession i.e. chemical engineering, I am 34 years old now, and a little frustrated. Any advice, what should I do.

Thanks

That's a lot of switches without a plan. What is it that you WANT to do, as  job function? Hands on technical? Manage projects? Be on the business side?

You mentioned getting ahead. Can you define that?

And a thought. There are companies that combine more than one discipline for their product...I wondering whether you could turn the Chem Eng + Mfg Eng into a narrowly focused niche market...companies who are a manufacturing a product, but need that Chemical background or understanding.

Just a thought.
