Following up to an interviewI had a recent interview. I sent a follow up letter to each person I interviewed with. Its been just over a week, since the interview....no word yet. Is it Ok to send an e-mail asking for an update on the position?
Yes, a follow-up isn't a bad idea, although a week isn't a long time in the overall hiring process. If you do follow-up, do not communicate any desperation, or neediness, or sense that they owe you something. Simply, just checking in. Reiterate your keen interest. Perhaps make a point as to where you see the fit. Thank them for their time. Ian Christie Career Changers Coach
