When is it time to start searching for my next job?  I'm not too thrilled with the position that I have worked and earned my way into.  I'm a field tech and I'm stuck behind a desk.  I have plenty of time and loads of experience as supervisor, trainer, technician, etc.  I'm want to be able to transition into a job the day after I take my uniform off.  With two years remaining, is it too early to start looking at new jobs?  Should I be attending job fairs and spreading the word now or wait for another year?
