Cancer biologist seeking future directio
Dear friends: I am in mid forty a cancer biology researcher with PhD. I am currently entering into severe career crisis because our research is supported by federal grant money which is now in severe shortage for a reason you know very well. It is becoming nightmare for me to get any federal money to continue my research and support my salary. If I decide to change my career from academic research them what do you think my options are? I tried biotech company jobs with minimum success. Can I take some courses to reshape this career crisis? Please let me know if you have any specific questions. You can e-mail me @ pseudogene10@yahoo.com. Thanks.
Have you considered nursing or medicine? With your background, you probably have a lot of the prereqs required to get into nursing school. There is a true shortage of nurses now and a good time to take the plunge! You may also consider physician's assistant, physical therapist, or even a pharmacist! Good Luck!
