going crazy
Have you ever tried to change careers and relocate to a different state and keep everything running smoothly without becoming an alcoholic in the process. If anyone has this one down please drop me a line.
I have relocated and transferred with my company. I moved across the country got settled in my new job only to have my husband laid off from his new job. We had to move back across the country all on our own dollar! It was an expensive year! It is very stressful but can be done smoothly with a little planning. Also drinking when you get home from work does help calm the nervous! Keep in mind to keep all your bills straight. I keep all our personal paperwork with me to enusre nothing was lost or overlooked.
Yes, I did this a few years back. It helped that I had a friend in my "new" town, and she allowed me to live with her for a few months before I had to find a place of my own. If you have a friend in the town where you're headed, you may want to consider it. Keep all your moving - relocation expenses for the next years tax return. I remember being able to deduct some of them. Also, if you know who you want to work for in that town, they may assist you with expenses. It doesn't hurt to ask even if they don't advertise it. Every bit of money counts. Remember, if it doesn't work out, you can always move back. It might cost you some $$ but nothing is permanent. Good luck. | |
