I am currently employed as a medical assistant and I am in school studying mortuary science.  My local government had positions open in the morgue for an autopsy assistant.  I applied and made the cert.  Now I am just waiting to hear back.  By the way I interviewed the end of Nov and there were several positions available.  I've followed up on several occasions and on the last e-mail she thanked me for my continued interest on the position.  What in the **** does that mean?  Am I qualified?  What is the hold up?  Why is the government so dang on slow?  Well in any case I wish they would come to a hiring decision soon before I pull out all my hair!
